Get Connected

Home - Get Connected
The following is the most common process for getting connected into the Harvest family once the church launches:

1. Attend a Worship Service
Usually the first place someone becomes acquainted with Harvest Bible Chapel is by attending a Sunday morning worship service. This is the time and place where we gather together to lift high the name of Jesus in worship and to study the Word of God. Harvest is a church that is contemporary without compromise—we are stylistically contemporary and committed to the sufficiency of the Scriptures and its proclamation (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:3-4).

2. Attend Party with the Pastor
Attend this casual gathering that usually takes place in someone's home. Party with the Pastor will include time to introduce key leaders, review our core values, take your questions, and have fun getting to know one another. Due to its limited size, you will need to pre-register for this event. Go to the event tab on the home page to register for the next event.

3. Attend Peak Performance
This is a multi-session class designed to provide a thorough understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Harvest Bible Chapel. Peak Performance discusses the history, structure, and key doctrines of Harvest Bible Chapel, as well as the purposes and expectations of membership.

After attending Peak Performance each person will receive a membership application form. Once the application form is received, a membership interview will be set up with one of our church leaders. Individual’s names are then placed in the Harvest Update for two weeks, and, if there are no concerns raised by other members of Harvest, the individual is officially welcomed into the membership at Harvest Bible Chapel.

Go to the event tab on the home page to register for the next session.

4. Join a Small Group
Harvest is a church of small groups. We are convinced that disciples of Christ and disciplemakers for Christ are most effectively developed in a small group environment where individuals can connect with each other as they connect with Christ. Therefore, it is our desire to see every young person and adult in our church family participating in a Small Group.

Harvest’s Small Groups are designed to be the weekly meeting place outside of the worship service where friendships are developed, biblical truth is discussed and applied, encouragement is given, prayers are raised, accountability is welcomed, care is given, and disciples are made. Each Small Group meets three times a month at various times throughout the week.

5. Serve at Harvest
The Scripture calls for every one of God’s people to be living out the love of Christ by serving each other and our communities (Matthew 5:14-16; 1 Corinthians 12-13; Romans 12:5-8; Ephesians 4:11-16). Therefore, Harvest wants every believer to be serving Christ in some kind of ministry fashion. Serving not only honors Jesus Christ but it is also a great way to develop meaningful relationships with others.

Whether it be serving in the children’s ministries, one-on-one discipleship/counseling, playing an instrument or singing, facilitating/apprenticing a Small Group, helping with technology, serving in leadership, volunteering in the church office, or any of an endless list of creative ways to live out your gifts, talents, and passions for Christ, the point is to serve because you love Jesus and others.
